Wine tasting

As well as for its green hills, Tuscany is well-known for its red wines, which are appreciated and exported all over the world. For wine lovers – but also for who knows little about wines – Florence offers a good number of wine bars and wine houses where you can taste a good glass of wine, possibly with an appetiser of local cheese and ham. Among the many venues to choose from, we have selected a few good ones for you.

Gustavino - Florence

As well as its modern and sophisticated ambiance, this venue offers you a wine list counting more than 800 labels, including the best of the Italian and Tuscan produce. An attentive selection that leaves spoilt for choice.
Match a good glass of wine with their culinary specialties: black tagliolini with pesto and sea urchins, beef fillet with red onion jam, beef tartare with mustard sauce.

La Sosta del Rossellino

La Sosta del Rossellino

A small wine house – just 20 sits – of great quality, la Sosta del Rossellino was born in 1990, when the owners decided to extend the old butcher's shop they bought out in 1988. It offer a very welcoming ambiance and you can sit by the fire or on the veranda to sip one of the many labels they offer.
The wine list is always subject to updates but we definitely recommend their dessert wines – and of course the house's desserts to accompany them.
