The home can accommodate up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms, sofa beds, and laundry facilities. Essentially elegant in design, the cottage is decorated with meticulous attention to detail. Completely renovated with traditional Tuscan charm, there is a warm atmosphere throughout the home. Each of the three bedrooms has a double bed and there are sofa beds throughout the space to accommodate larger groups. The bathrooms and kitchen are all fully equipped with the highest level of fixtures and necessities. French glass doors lead to the enchanting outdoor area. Complete with a full outdoor dining patio, the garden exudes a romantic vibe, especially on summer evenings when lit by candlelight. A wonderful space for entertaining and enjoying some peaceful moments under the Tuscan sun.

01/07/2015 - Designer's Paradise in a Prime Location
A simply stunning home. In every corner, there is a feast for the eyes, and a fountain of ideas for your own home. Probably the best feature is the garden. The garden table is even better than pictured. During our week there, we enjoyed two home-cooked dinners outside and entertained local friends for aperitivi on the patio. The kitchen is fully equipped (though curiously void of dish rags). The master suite is by far the best room, but the second suite, while smaller, has its own privacy and charm. The basement space is ample, with seating, dining and sleeping space. It can be a bit damp. Thankfully, the owner provided two dehumidifiers which worked well, but were tricky to empty.
The location is fantastic. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the Boboli Gardens entrance, the home is quiet and private. At the same time, it was only a short 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio and a further 10 minutes to the Duomo.
Parking is a tremendous challenge and traffic zone time restrictions mean driving can be impossible at times. There was one evening when we could not drive past Porta Romana because of traffic regulation. It's best to avoid driving, if possible. The good news is that we didn't really need a car, except for day trips out of the city. We never even took a taxi. We walked everywhere and a small Carrefour grocery is around the corner. In fact, we walked from the train station which is only 20 minutes away. It's a walk that a mobile urbanite might be comfortable handling. There is a bus service as well, to and from the train station.
There is no air conditioning in this apartment. The weather was mild during our stay; however, we might expect it to be a little warm on a hot summer day and night. Mosquitos are rampant, but the plug-in repellant seemed to work.
The Apartments Florence team provided excellent service. That said, we do strongly recommend that you request a formal checkout as this home has many objets d'art and you will want to ensure that they have reviewed and approved the condition of the flat when you leave.
