10/05/2017 - Comforts of Home
This apartment has all the comforts of home and is located in walking distance of the most amazing sites in the heart of Florence. I look forward to my return every year to relax in my "home away from home".
20/11/2015 - Impeccable and centrally located
I always recommend Apartments Florence for short-stay rentals as they are professional and their listings are excellent. This property is in excellent condition and would be perfect for a couple - any more and it might begin to feel crowded. It is luminous, attractive and well-equipped. The location is in the thick of things: supermarkets and local produce markets nearby, excellent grocery shops and restaurants in the Via dei Neri/Santa Croce area, and it's only a short, flat walk to the historical heart of Florence. With the exception of the wee-small hours, as another reviewer notes, it's a treat to be a little off the beaten tourist track. But it does get noisy at night, even with the double-glazed windows closed, and if you are a medium to light sleeper, this will be problematic. Other than this, there are no downsides to this comfortable and elegant apartment.
19/10/2015 - Beautiful, spacious apartment in the heart of Florence
This apartment is in old Florence in a great location. Walking distance to all the major attractions, the Duomo, Uffizi, Galleria Academia, leather market, etc. Excellent restaurants all around you in a very short distance. The apartment if very spacious; one bedroom with tons of closet space, living room with TV, kitchen and table (includes a dishwasher and washing machine), and good size bathroom. All recently updated. There is an iron and ironing board as well as a blow dryer. The management is wonderful, very helpful!

03/04/2015 - Very good but....
I was the first person into this apartment after a re-furb, and so there were one or two snags that perhaps need sorting out. The apartment itself is excellent: modern, everything works, it's spacious and absolutely right where one would want to be in Florence. There are some excellent restaurants and bars within 100 metres (but see note about noise below). Have no hesitation about booking it. The wi-fi (important for my job) was speedy and never failed, a major plus. There is also storage space sufficient for a small elephant should you be travelling heavy: I used about 5% of it. All is as described, but I'd have liked a toaster. I was there in February/ March and so I should add, however, that the heating is done by way of the air conditioning units which are high up on the walls, so it never really gets very warm. I could have spent a lot more and not been much warmer. A small fan heater would have helped, and in retrospect I should have asked for one, as they were quick to find me the one or two things listed but not there when I first arrived. Towards the end of the stay this became less pressing because the sun shines delightfully through the bedroom and sitting room window for some hours each day, and it was warming up naturally. I should also add that the attractive towel rail in the photos is not actually connected to a heat source (it looks as though it's a radiator) and that means that drying towels is slightly difficult. There are no hooks in the bathroom, and the back of the sink is untiled, which means that the wall will soon be stained. I mentioned all of these things on my satisfaction form, and they will, I hope be addressed. Other small irritations were that there were only small cups, and there could usefully be some plastic pots for putting small amounts of food into once opened. There is a 99c shop round the corner where these can be bought, but a couple would help. However, the big disadvantage comes from outside, not from within. There are a number of American university campuses very near and the kids seem to want to wander round shouting and breaking bottles between 2 and 4 in the morning. If I had wanted to have the windows open at night, sleeping would have been virtually impossible. As it is, the double glazed windows cut some of it out, but I did have to use earplugs some nights. It's such a shame, as the apartment is so great, and if you are there a few days you start to feel the rhythm of the local neighbourhood as there are people living and going about their daily lives in this bit of Florence. I had a great time, and it was big enough for friends to come and visit. Thoroughly recommended, but the noise might be a big problem if you have babies/ children that need to sleep through. You can't fault the staff with this agency. From the moment I made contact, everything worked as they promised it would and so I'd recommend the firm as well as the individual apartment.
