Description
Villa Kef is situated in Camogli, west of Mount Portofino, a picturesque seaside village on the Ligurian Riviera 23Km east of Genoa.
Camogli is famous for the quaint harbour and the typical multi-coloured houses along the seafront. From there boats leave regularly to sail around Portofino Mountain, stopping along the way.
The Villa is located quite near the Portofino National Park, a natural reserve.
A ten-minute walk from the villa down characteristic paths and steps brings you to the center of the village, the beautiful seafront and harbour.
Near the gate to the house, which is a little above the level of the road, there are three private parking spaces.
The Villa is on four levels:
A path through the garden leads to the principal level, which is composed of a large bright living-room, a big kitchen (in a typical marble style of Liguria, the huge sink is original of the beginning of the century) with a pantry; a corridor which connects the entrance hall to two well-sized bedrooms and their private bathrooms.
The second level has the same layout as the principal level: one bedroom (for guests or reading) on the landing and a corridor leading to a large living-room, another bedroom, a principal bathroom and a third bedroom with a private bathroom.
The third level has a particularly panoramic big room on the landing, a bedroom with kitchenette and a large balcony with a fantastic view of San Rocco and the bay.
On the fourth level there is a spectacular terrace-solarium from which an external staircase leads to the “torretta” (a typical tower-patio in Genoa architectural style) with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Camogli and the surrounding hills.
The house presents many characteristics and high-class elements:
- The walls of the house (both exterior and interior) and valuable elements in Liberty style have been recently restored to their former splendour.
- Wonderful original floors in grit bicolor and parquet typical of the region;
- The rooms, but also bathrooms, landings and staircase have beautiful large windows, many with coloured-glass panes.
- Windows with typical shutters are original and have been recently restored;
- All the ceilings, each one different, are decorated in the floral liberty style of the Ligurian region;
- The grand marble staircase with wrought-iron railings;
- The terrace and the typical “torretta” or tower with its splendid panorama;
- The garden with wide-open lawns has huge old pine trees, towering palm trees, orange and lemon trees. High bushes surround the property to ensure privacy.
- Canopies in wrought iron and glass above the two main entrances;
- Thin gratings with floral design to protect the ground floors from intruders.

The installations:

The villa is centrally–heated by two gas-heaters, enabling heating of the lower and higher levels separately.

The outdoor lights, both around villa and on the terrace, have been redone in the original Liberty style.

The six bathrooms all have four elements in perfect working condition.

The entire garden has an automatic irrigation system.

The garden paths have automatic lighting.
