09/10/2015 - Convenient location and vibrant neighborhood
Our party of 4 enjoyed staying at this apartment. The rainy weather didn't allow us to use the garden, but the outdoor space is a nice feature. We were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable young man (Sorry, I've forgotten his name) who showed us the apartment, answered our questions, and provided several helpful tips for exploring Florence. He also recommended a few neighborhood dining options and they did not disappoint. The kitchen, while small, had everything we needed and the living area was adequate. The one drawback we encountered was that this apartment has only one full bath. The hall bath is very small and has no tub nor shower. As 4 adults trying to maximize our sightseeing time this made the morning routine a little awkward. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, there was live music and performances in the nearby piazza, and good restaurants within walking distance.
17/09/2015 - lovely apartment, spacious and cool despite the summer heat
Plenty of space for the four of us and having a second bathroom for the teenagers was a real bonus. Sitting outside for a drink after a long day sightseeing was wonderful - but do pack the mossie repellent (although there's a pharmacy a few doors away if you forgetting, and a supermarket a block away in the other direction. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The decor is lovely and made for a much more pleasant stay than a busy hotel. It's ideally situated just 10-15 mins from the mains sites and train/bus station. There was live music in the square next door with a pop up bar and restaurant while we were there which was a nice surprise. It stopped at 11pm though so didn't interrupt our sleep. Francisco met us as agreed and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a bit more independence in a beautiful city,.
23/09/2014 - The perfect small apartment
We stayed in this apartment for the month of July, 2014 and loved every minute of it. The apartment has been renovated with taste to a high standard. The location is wonderful, just yards from the Brancacci Chapel, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and even a small supermarket within a few minutes walk. The garden is quiet and ideal for eating outside. A very quiet neighbourhood (occasionally late at night a few noisy drunks outside, but that's like just about anywhere in England) and the immediately adjacent properties were extremely quiet and unobtrusive. If it were my apartment I would change some of the sitting room/dining room furniture (the couch is too large and not very comfortable) but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. The owners are to be congratulated for the quality of the renovation (the bathrooms in particular). We would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to friends. (NB. There's no view of the Arno, but then it doesn't cost 8,000 Euros a month either!)
