We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and this apartment was ideal for us. Lots of room for all of us, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living area and a sweet location. We could walk everywhere within 10 minutes: Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, etc... Hope to stay here again! The service was also great!
17/10/2016 - Large well appointed apartment in great neighborhood
This apartment really has a great mix of new and old. The bathrooms and kitchen are all new and well-equipped. The showers are bit bigger than the Italian norm - still small but I've seen worse. The washer was nice to have given our extended stay. Terracotta floors, wood windows and cross vault ceilings really give that old world feeling. Situated in the Santa Croce neighborhood, you're close to everything as well as being in a vibrant area with lots of nightlife. This doesn't mean you hear any of that at night necessarily. It should be noted that the apartment can be loud during the day. Both my sister and I were suffering from insomnia as we were trying to get used to the 9 hour time difference. Any naps during the day were difficult as the back of the apartment is next to the back of a supermarket that starts at 7:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening with pallet jacks and grocery carts moved about. You can also hear doors slammed from other areas of the building. All of this dissipates at night so it really doesn't detract too much unless you're sleep cycle is off. That aside, quite happy with the apartment and Apartments Florence. Gabriel, the gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and we even ran into him one night in the neighborhood.
