08/01/2017 - A gem in the heart of Florence
A delightful stay in a very elegant quiet apartment. Perfect central location just off Piazza Santa Spririto. with small local shops, bars, restaurants and a daily market. Charming light rooms decorated with modern and antique furniture. Very comfortable and well-thought through. Good storage. Excellently appointed kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommended. Will visit again.
07/01/2017 - We loved this apartment!
We love this apartment! It is central to everything, you can walk to all the attractions you want. We had no problem with check-in, Francesco met us on-time and showed us around the apartment. The place is so charming! Set within a 15th Century building, furnished tastefully and equipped with a full kitchen and everything you need to be comfortable. We were also really impressed with being given a welcome pack of basic food and drink items to get us going, as well as a lovely card and bottle of wine from the owners. There are quite a few steep stairs to get to the apartment so we recommend this apartment for able-bodied people. We felt at home here and felt we had the true Florentine experience!
28/12/2016 - Fantastic location, very comfortable, fully equipped appartment, with style and elegance
We had a fantastic time, the appartment has been done with great taste and is the perfect base for visiting Florence. You are right in the centre and it is also very quiet. The flat has light and is very convenient and welcoming with all the modern facilities that you would expect. We will definitely come back. Grazie!
17/12/2016 - Your perfect Florentine pied-a-terre
A charming family-owned apartment in a characterful location near Palazzo Pitti, the Ponte Vecchio and Santo Spirito. The ideal base if you are out and about, immaculate and quiet, a refuge from the tourist trail. We loved it! There's a neat kitchen but for genuine Florentine atmosphere and cooking, just head round the corner to Trattoria Casalinga.
15/12/2016 - beautifully peaceful flat, close to everything in Florence
The address alone--a block or so south of the river, very central yet not at all touristy--makes this apartment a gem. It is on the top floor of a 14th C building, exquisitely decorated (understated, yet with everything one needs, including a small kitchen). Just around the corner is the plaza Santo Spirito (farmer's market tables appear in the mornings), also a few steps away is one of the most cheerful trattorias in Florence, family-run and delightful, Casalinga. The flat is a restful retreat, after a strenuous day of sight-seeing--and one is only ten minutes' walk from the Duomo, to start all over again, on the following day . . . We shall return. Will only add some other favorite spots in Florence (we really had a VERY good time!) . . . buffet lunch at Teatro del Sale, which creates the most picturesque ambiance . . . . the Bargello Museum contains treasures beyond imagination (an entire room filled with antique pottery, some dating from 12th C.), and almost next door to it Fishing Lab (for lunch) and Bramada (charming shop filled with artisanal Italian things) . . . and then Gilardini which is a concentrated collection of the best shoes and boots to be found in Italy (a couple of steps away from the Duomo, just off the square), family owned and run, and an institution in Florence. We stayed for a week, and still did not see everything in this extraordinary city.
