The whole place was recently renovated and redecorated with modern, contemporary and classy taste, combining comforts and refined style with warm and classic elements such as the hard wood floors and the white washed exposed beams in the ceilings. 08/10/2017 - Lovely central Florence apartment

I rented this apartment from Apartments Florence. The experience was good. We were well checked in, the apartment was as advertised and expected. It was an overall a good experience and I recommend this apartment.

14/07/2017 - Great for short stays (up to a week) for 1-2 people max, though very noisy

Just a few yards from the Piazza della Signoria, the location is perfect for those who prefer to be at the center of the action. The apartment is on the fifth floor and has a beautiful (though oblique, one has to open the windows to see it) view of the Palazzo Vecchio. A careful and elegant conversion has turned this part of a very old building into a modern and generally well-appointed apartment. The kitchen has an electric kettle, toaster, and Bosch dishwasher. TV and internet work perfectly. To continue with the good news, the agency is very helpful and staffed with friendly people. There is an elevator, though it is probably the smallest one that I ever saw; two people with suitcases would have to make two journeys. There are some issues. The kitchen is okay but there is no oven and very little storage space for groceries. The apartment is considerably smaller than the photos suggest, quite adequate and comfortable for 1-2 people, but not for a third person unless it is a child. There is heating and air conditioning, but these are not available at all times of year. For example, heating is not available during the spring after April 15, while Florence is often quite cold in the second half of April. The door from the stairway and elevator is shared by a second apartment located at the end of a common corridor that passes the door to the Signoria Donatello apartment. The two apartments share a washing machine and there is no clothes dryer. This means that the apartment is not quite private and there can be considerable noise from guests in the other apartment; one can sometimes hear loud voices even when both apartment doors are closed. During the month I rented the apartment, 5 different groups of people stayed in the second apartment, so a lot of traffic along the common corridor. The center of Florence is a noisy place, with large tourist groups by day and sometimes very loud drunk tourists by night. It is best to be prepared with ear plugs if noise bothers you. I have stayed in 10 different apartments in Florence, each time for a month. I gave this one 4 stars instead of 5 in view of the issues mentioned above and the very high price. A 5-star rating might be appropriate for 1-2 people staying up to a week, who can afford it and don't mind the noise.
