Florence becomes set for international productions
The French "Après mai", from the director Olivier Assayas, tells a story about 3 french friends in the fascinating year of 1968. The protagonist is Gilles, a young man divided between politics and the effervescence of his artistic inspirations. Along with his friends, accidentally, he injures a policeman and decide to stay away for a while, in Naples and Florence. In this experience the 3 friends will enter into a journey that leads them to discover their own identity. With the renowned director of photography Eric Gautier (Into the Wild, Motorcycle Diaries and Intimacy) the film has everything to show really good shots of the city's most precious marks.
The german "I giardini di Villa Sabrini" is directed by Marco Serafini and tells a story of a german art criticism, Susanna, working in Rome. She has to go to Florence in order to trace a possible forged artwork. The mystery will be solved, but not without true love.
The directors took most shots in Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza della Signoria, Lungarno delle Grazie, Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale degli Uffizi, Piazza del Duomo, among others.
