From tonight, July 21 to Saturday, July 23 in the Amphitheatre Cascine – Cascine Park – Florence, will be inaugurated the second edition of Festival au Désert – presenze d’Africa. The Festival is a multicultural event, inspired by the original Festival au Désert, created in January 2001 and held every year in the North of Mali, usually in Essakane. The main goal is the one to promote a trip to and from Africa. Trough Festival au Désert, for three days, in the Amphitheater Cascine, in the city of Florence, we can find
a piece of Africa. Every evening, from 19.00, there will be meetings, debates, African cuisine and shows involving African musicians from Mali, Niger, Senegal, Ivory Coast and guest artists from France and Italy. Tonight's program includes the debate
Florence-Timbuktu: on the ancient route of salt and gold and also performances of live African music and dance.
