Great place for a drink in Florence
Spring has definitely sprung in Florence. Finally! The sweaters and jackets are being put away as the weather is perfect right now - in the mid-70s. The tourists have arrived and the streets are busy with people taking pictures of the sights and with cups and cones of fabulous gelato.
One of the best places to take a break from the streets and enjoy a quiet view of Florence and the hills is from the top of la Rinascente department store on the east side of Piazza della Repubblica. You can relax for a bit with your companion and enjoy a glass of wine, an afternoon spritz (refreshing local favorite), or even a cafe freddo, or cold coffee.
